1-Overall Summation of Book 1: The Oath of Sylvara

  The "Oath of Sylvara" is the first book in the epic 4 book saga called "The Starfall Saga". It details how our 5 main characters, Zara of Drakoria, Solon of Aegea, Marcus of Veridia, Alaric of Eldoria and Torvold of Norgard first meet a summit meeting at the ancient neutral city of Sylvara in the Starfall region the home of the legendary Oracle of Sylvara who is now a woman with True Sight named Lysaria. 

Upon their first meeting they are simply teenagers brought as part of larger retinues to this summit other than Torvald who snuck in. 

Zara is the niece of the King of Drakoria. If she were a male she would be Queen herself but as a woman she is not allowd to rule.

Solon is the song of the King of a lesser city in his home nation which is under the brutal yoke of a far more powerful city.

Marcus is from a lesser noble family of Veridia able to rise in society but not quite to the heights of ultimate power.

Alaric is a member of the royal family but as the third son of the King of Eldoria's younger brother is very unlikey to ever rise the the throne.

Torvald is a commoner from the tribal society of Norgard. However his charm, humor and moral compass make him popular among all he meets. He was not among those invited to this summit and snuck in because he heard there was good ale to be had.

The five meet upon entering Sylvara and get along well, forming friendships and understandings based on their frustrations of their place in their societies.

Over the course of their stays in Sylvara they all have seemingly chance meetings with the Oracle Lysaria. The Oracle encourages all five to not simply accept their stations in life and to strive to reach high goals and offices, perhaps even the highest in their nations. Whether that is King, Empress, Consul or Tribal Leader. She tells them individually the world needs "new blood" to lead it to a new golden age.

Near the end of the summit the five young people all meet again, each inspired by their meetings with the Oracle. They pledge to each rise as high as possible and to help each other in this endeavor. They also pledge that once they all reach the heights of power to work together to bring a new era of peace and prosperity to the world and do away with the centuries of mistrust between their nations. 

The five return to their nations and stay in touch mostly through letters written to each other. They all do manage to rise to the leadership of their nations. These rises are detailed in other posts on this blog.

After they have all achieved power they return to Sylvara to formalize their agreement as leaders of their great nations. Each making offerings to the Oracle in thanks for her wisdom. The Oracle blesses each of them and their friendship. Saying that their friendship and the Oath they have made at Sylvara will lead the world into its next Golden Age.

4-Details of the War between Drakoria and Aegea
